Gethin Thomas joined Cardiff Sixth Form College in 2015 as a houseparent and is now the Head of Boarding. He has grown up in boarding schools and has worked with boarders for over 15 years. Gethin also has a background in teaching and has worked with international students throughout his career. Ensuring that the boarding houses are safe and happy environments for our students, is his focus. He thinks students should feel that their new home is a place where they feel totally at ease, and is a space in which they can relax and centre themselves. Gethin believes that boarding is vital cog in university preparation and life skills and learning to look after yourself are key components to any student’s time at CSFC.
