Adam Reid

Adam Reid

Adam was educated at Cranleigh School and at Birmingham University, where he read Medieval and Modern History, and was sponsored by the army.  After five years in the Light Infantry, he spent two years in property investment and development, before re-training as a teacher.   He has extensive experience in pastoral and academic management in leading HMC schools in England, has held wide ranging extra-curricular responsibilities, and is an experienced ISI Inspector.  Prior to moving to CSFC, Adam was Principal Deputy Head at Mount Kelly, where he was at the forefront of a programme of root and branch restructure and reform of all areas of school life.  He believes strongly in the power and value of intellectual curiosity and independence, and in challenging young people to think widely and with healthy scepticism about the world around them.  He and his wife, Fran, are parents to two teenagers, and in his spare time Adam is a keen distance runner, hillwalker, and sailor.  He also reads widely on economics, military matters, global affairs and history.
