UCAS Cardiff Higher Exhibition trip

This Wednesday, the Careers Department and Heads of House accompanied over 170 of our AS students to attend UCAS’ Higher Education Exhibition in the National Indoor Athletics Centre in Cardiff Metropolitan University. Students had the opportunity to speak to over 140 universities and exhibitors about their upcoming applications, in addition to the ability to attend speaker sessions on Student Life and Post-18 options. In speaking to a number of our students after the event, they appreciated the opportunity to speak to a wide variety of universities, ranging from Cambridge, Oxford, LSE, Imperial and UCL, to other universities which they had not maybe considered until today, including Edinburgh, Nottingham, Queen Mary and Manchester.

Hayley Bendle, Head of Higher Education, attended the event and said: “Today’s trip has been invaluable to the students in assisting them to broaden their horizons. The ability to speak directly to admissions staff from a number of renowned universities beyond their immediate knowledge and experience has truly helped students to begin making informed choices for their 5 UK universities.”
