CSFC tops Education Advisers’ league tables again

Posted: 21st March 2017

Earlier this month, Cardiff Sixth Form College was awarded Top Independent Sixth Form College and Top Private Co-educational Boarding School in the UK for the seventh consecutive year, by the Education Advisers (www.best-schools.co.uk).

The awards were based on outstanding A-level results achieved by the College in 2016, placing us at the top of league tables compiled by the Education Advisers based on the exam results of students at UK private schools and colleges. These league tables include as many schools and colleges as possible, and the rankings are carefully checked prior to publication.

We were honoured to receive a visit from Mrs. Mary Muryama, Joint Managing Director of the Education Advisers, in order for her to present us with our Crystal Awards during the AS and A2 student meetings.

Mary was introduced by Ms. Morgan, before going on to deliver a short speech about the significance of the awards and why CSFC had been chosen as the recipient for the past seven years.

“Exam results aren’t everything, but they open doors for you. They are looked at by universities and employers. What Cardiff [Sixth Form College] does very, very well is that it will prepare you in other ways to develop those other accomplishments and attitudes that future employers and universities will be looking for. In every respect, Cardiff is an outstanding college and you are incredibly lucky to be here.”

She then presented our Crystal Awards to Mr. Glenn Hawkins, Managing Director of Dukes Education.

“This is recognition of the best students in the country; the best teachers in the country, and the best support staff in the country,” Mr. Hawkins remarked, “winning these awards doesn’t come easy at all – it really is an extraordinary achievement.”

Well done to all students for helping us to achieve these awards over the past seven years!
