On Monday 31st August the College held an induction dinner at the Mercure hotel, just across the road from Trinity Court. Many students were already accustomed to Cardiff having been on the early start Summer School programme but for the remaining students who had flown in over the previous weekend it was a chance for them meet some of their future classmates, lecturers and also the guardians who would be looking after the students on behalf of the families.
The evening began with a welcome speech, introducing all of the lecturers and admin staff at the college to the guests. Food was then served, the Mercure restaurant is renowned for its outstanding food and service, the evening menu consisted of:
- Starter: Red pepper tomato soup
- Main Course: Chicken with stuffing, seasonal vegetables
- Dessert: Vanilla Cheesecake with raspberry coulis
After guests finished their meals, we delivered a short presentation on how to be successful and getting into top UK universities.
A big welcome to all our AS-Level students!
