Ruth Daniels is Head of Mathematics at Cardiff Sixth Form College. Ruth brings energy and passion to the mathematics department and dedicates much of her time to the development of resources that stimulate and inspire learners. She joins us in 2023 with over a decade of experience in leading Mathematics teams, within a variety of Welsh and English state schools. Ruth places a strong emphasis on using computer resources to their best advantage, blending online with classroom teaching, and promoting an interactive, collaborative learning environment that facilitates independent study.
Ruth was not always a teacher and when she left University after her first degree she worked in the Banking and Financial Services industry for eight years. Ruth feels that the combination of working as a teacher today and having had the benefit of experiencing the ‘real world’ has given her the opportunity to not only teach young people but help to prepare them for the world beyond college.
