Alex Hughes

Alex joined the college in 2019 having previously been a History and Government and Politics teacher for 13 years. In 2016, he was appointed as Specialist Leader in World War I education by the World War One Centenary Programme in association with UCL. One of his main responsibilities was to assist schools and in developing and improving the educational value of their battlefield tours   He has extensive experience in both academic and pastoral care having taken on both responsibilities in a number of different educational settings. Most recently before joining he was a deputy head of house in Nottinghamshire.
