Pre Arrival Information

Moving to a new city or country is always an exciting experience, no matter your age or background. While some aspects of life in the UK may feel different at first, Cardiff Sixth Form College takes pride in its diverse and inclusive community, welcoming students from all over the world. We hope you will soon feel at home with us.

To ensure a smooth transition, the Guardianship Form, Medical Form, and Food Allergy Form must be completed, and your IELTS results if required submitted before we can apply for your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS)—a necessary step for your visa application. These documents are essential for safeguarding our students and ensuring appropriate care in case of an emergency.

Our Student Immigration Department will then assist with the CAS and advise on the visa application process.

At Cardiff Sixth Form College, student welfare is our highest priority. Parents who do not reside in the UK are required to appoint a guardian for their child, regardless of age. This is a parental responsibility, as UK law mandates that children receive proper and appropriate care. Additionally, UKVI regulations require a parental letter confirming care arrangements as part of the visa application process.

Another crucial requirement is the Pre-Arrival Travel Form. This must be completed by all new students and returning Year 10 students to provide essential travel details before arrival. This information allows us to coordinate travel plans and ensure comprehensive safeguarding measures. Please ensure that the form is fully completed before the deadline to avoid any delays.
