Jem studied physics at Trinity College Cambridge followed by a side-step into an organic chemistry PhD at Oxford. He then moved to London and worked as a private tutor for many years, during which time he discovered a love of teaching. Jem then went to St Edward’s School Oxford, where he taught physics, followed by Charterhouse in Surrey, where he taught chemistry and computer science.
In his spare time, Jem recently enjoyed converting a panel van into a luxury camper. His longer-term interests include running, playing the guitar, and coding and app development. Jem will be running an app development club at Cardiff Cambridge.
