A team of four of our AS students have reached the final of the BASE National competition.
BASE is the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales’ (ICAEW) national business and accounting competition. The first two stages of the competition involved taking part in an online game and then producing a video presentation. It gives students who are interested in a career in Economics or Finance an opportunity to gain an insight into the world of finance with the opportunity to enhance their communication, problem solving and team working skills. The competition is free and open to all 16-17 year olds across the UK.
ICAEW said ‘We received a large number of applicants this year and the standard of entries was particularly high. It is a fantastic achievement to reach the final and all your students should be very proud of their hard work. We also wish all your other students the best with their future endeavours.’
Congratulations to Lili, Amit, Dian and David who will compete in the National Final on 16th June. Good Luck!
