CSFC wins ISA Award

Posted: 26th February 2021

Cardiff Sixth Form College was delighted to today be awarded the ISA (Independent Schools Association) Award for Excellence in Pupil Personal Development.

The award ceremony was hosted online earlier this afternoon during which the winners were announced. The Excellence in Pupil Personal Development award was the most popular award entered by schools out of the 14 awards announced today, our CREATE© portfolio was the stand out achievement by CSFC created by Head of Pastoral, Mrs Lisa Morton, and her fantastic team. You can see some of our Heads of House celebrating in the video below.

The CREATE© portfolio has at its core the aim of ‘creating’ learners who, “whilst attaining academic excellence are independent, self-sufficient young adults with a genuine care and interest in others in the world’. The programme looks to increase wellbeing, resilience and confidence amongst the student body; with students, gaining awards for active participation in each area ‘Community, Respect, Engage, Thrive and Enrich’ which, in turn can amount to a Bronze, Silver, and Gold award. The programme links to not just curriculum areas but also connects to careers and the world of work, as students can use their experiences of participating in the programme for their personal statement and university applications and interviews.
