Two teams comprising of 16 students in total attended this year’s session of the European Youth Parliament in Cardiff Bay. There they debated motions ranging from the return of artefacts to their countries of origin to the effect the fashion industry has on greenhouse gas emission and sea pollution. Teamwork was very much the focus for this event with the judges looking for participation from every member of each team as well as the quality of questions raised.  Claire Chan and Shamim Ahmad Shalimim are to be congratulated for leading their team to being successfully selected to attend the National Session in Liverpool this September.
