As part of the college’s commitment to supporting the local community, students at Cardiff Sixth Form College have spent the last few weeks buying gifts for disadvantaged children and young people as part of the Barnardo’s Christmas Appeal.
Barnardo’s, a charity working towards transforming the lives of the most vulnerable children across the UK, provided the college with the names of young people who were likely to be without Christmas presents this year. Students from across three year groups have thoroughly enjoyed buying gifts for their allocated recipient. An impressive total of 150 presents have been bought and donated to Barnardo’s.
The college was inspired to take part in the appeal after seeing details of it advertised at the Starbucks Mansion House branch in Cardiff. A big thanks to all students and staff who participated in this very worthy appeal!
