Three groups of economics students have been bidding for a loan from Cardiff Sixth Form College to set up businesses. Christmas sweet boxes, Cardiff jackets and a laundry service are three of the enterprising projects the students are hoping to market to their peers and the wider College community with all profits going to a charity of their choice.
A panel of four experts including the College’s Finance Director, Marketing Director and two teachers from the Economics Department were the judges who will decide whom the loans will be awarded to.
The students were charged with making a formal presentation and writing a business plan which included introducing their business proposition, financial projections and how their business would be marketed.
Good luck to all candidates.
