Jennifer has been working in the field of English Language Teaching for over a decade, beginning her career in Germany and the Czech Republic. She has since taught English for Academic Purposes (EAP) at university level to undergraduate students in Busan, South Korea for several years, and to incoming master’s students at UCL, before joining the staff at Cardiff Sixth Form College, Cambridge.
Jennifer is no stranger herself to the demands of academic English and extended projects: as well as a bachelor’s degree in Music from the University of Oxford and a first master’s degree in Historical and Analytical Musicology from King’s College London, she also holds a second master’s degree in Applied Linguistics for Language Teaching from the University of Oxford. Her dissertation in her last degree received a Commendation in the British Council ELT Master’s Dissertation Awards 2021-2022.
Her own years spent studying in intensively academic environments, at a selective senior school in the UK and at the University of Oxford, have provided her with first-hand insight into the experiences and challenges faced by the students at our school and their families at home.
In her free time, Jennifer enjoys acting on stage, singing, playing the piano, running, and spending time with her husband and son.
