ISA STEAM competition

Posted: 16th April 2021

The Independent Schools Association (ISA) STEAM competition is to investigate and solve problems from today’s world, encouraging teamwork, thoughtful dialogue and problem solving.

Milly and Methapon, from our GCSE group, recently progressed to the final of the STEAM competition. Answering a brief to design a protective device for electronic equipment, the girls produced a highly detailed blueprint and presentation for an innovative laptop case.  From the many entrants received by the ISA the CSFC students were shortlisted to a list of three and presented directly to the judges through Zoom in the final.

Unfortunately, it was not to be, but the judges commended the ‘clear explanation of the solution’ and their ‘confident and informative presentation’.

A big congratulations to Milly and Methapon – reaching the final three entrants in this large and respected competition, it is truly a fantastic achievement.
