Our new purpose-built boarding house in the heart of Cardiff Bay provides modern, comfortable accommodation designed specifically for our students. All GCSE boarders share a twin bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, offering a welcoming and supportive environment in which to live and study.

Students benefit from communal common rooms and dedicated spaces to relax and socialise. The boarding house is fully supervised by experienced House Parents and Assistants, who support students’ pastoral needs, provide mentoring and oversee homework, helping every student settle in, develop independence and thrive during their time at the College.
The College offers a wide range of competitions, trips, events, clubs and activities which range from the College’s popular GLEE club, art club, to football and netball teams. Students can have a membership of the JD gym with badminton courts, tennis courts, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, squash courts, range of fitness classes, personal training and café and internet zone. All students will be part of a House and take part in House events such as house debating, house sport and house music.
For those wanting to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh programme training will take place during weekends and after school and for musical students we provide a college music room where students practice and make music together as well as the opportunity for private music lessons.
Students wishing to continue their studies at A Level will be expected to meet the relevant entry requirements. Those who do not meet these requirements will have the option of continuing their studies at another of Dukes Education’s high-quality colleges in the UK, subject to meeting the entry requirements of the chosen college. This provides students with alternative pathways to continue their education within the Dukes Education family.
