Through experience in 5 schools, Tom has a multifaceted understanding of international, private, selective and state boarding provision which makes him particularly well placed to ensure that the needs of all students are exceeded, irrespective of their background. Continuing to hone his skillset, he has completed the Boarding School’s Association’s Certification in Pastoral Care and Boarding Management, in enrolled on the BSA’s diploma in Boarding Practice: Leadership, and has designs to complete his Masters in Residential Education starting next year. Tom is also an Accredited Boarding Practitioner with the BSA.
Tom’s passion for working in boarding stems from his own time at boarding school as a student in Norfolk, where his parents met and he later started his career. He studied Music Theatre at Falmouth University. He enjoys powerlifting, cycling, skating and hiking in his free time, as well as exploring the countryside with his fiancé and his dog. He also plays several musical instruments and sings in a country band.
