Head Students 26-27

Head students for 2026-2027 school year.

Our Head Student is Giselle is, a boarder from Hong Kong who studies Economics, Maths, Chemistry and Biology. She aspires to study law at university, having already competed in national and international debate and public speaking competitions.  Giselle also enjoys playing hockey and lacrosse, as well as the trumpet and the piano. She is an active member of several non-government charities for whom she manages outreach and advocates for mental health and environmental issues.


Chuka will be one of our Deputy Head Students. A boarder, from Nigeria, he studies Mathematics, Economics, Physics, and aspires to study Economics and Management at university. Beyond academics, he is actively involved in football, debating and Model United Nations, earning a Highly Commended Delegate Award in a recent event. He has represented the college at various sports while also competing in prestigious debate and public speaking competitions. Chuka also served as Head Boy in both primary and secondary school, so is no stranger to leadership roles.


Our next Deputy Head Student is Derek who is from Cardiff and studies Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry. He hopes to study aerospace engineering in the future and has already completed work experience with British Airways, having represented the college in both the F1 in Schools and EESW engineering competitions. He plays for the college football team, enjoys rock climbing and has completed Grade 8 in both clarinet and piano. He will be spending his summer at Cardiff University, as an intern in their engineering department.


Our final Deputy Head Student is Ava Grace, who is a British-Malaysian-Chinese day student from Cardiff studying Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Psychology on an academic scholarship. Given her immense passion for dermatology, she aspires to study Medicine and later specialise as a paediatric dermatologist. Outside of school, she also serves as a member of the NHS Youth Board, and volunteers at a local care home for patients with dementia. Ava serves as the Vice President of the Medical and Debate Societies, the latter of which she represented in the Independent Schools Association debate competition, securing 1st place for the college.  A seasoned performer with professional credits under her belt, Ava will serve as the President of the Glee Club next academic year while continuing her role as the emcee for charity events outside of school.
