CSFC celebrated World Book Day in style this week as the canteen adorned itself with bunting and a Great Gatsby-themed lunch. On top of this, students have been working on a quiz designed to get them talking about reading and matching the teacher with their favourite book. The whole student body has transformed into Sherlock Holmes whenever the chance has arisen – in true detective style emailing teachers to get their lowdown on David Copperfield, stopping teachers in the street to ask them if it is indeed true that their go to is Harry Potter and indeed quizzing their classmates on their favourite books for good measure.
Reading remains as important as ever for our students. As well as having the World Book Day quiz to get their teeth into, they have also been reminded of all of the benefits of the school’s online library – Perlego. CSFC is proud to offer this as a free resource for all of our students that they can access on any device, ensuring that their reading practice is fully topped up on the go.
