Cardiff Sixth Form College students have done it again. The College, which has topped the league tables over the past 11 years, has delivered stunning A Level results with 97.8% gaining A*-A and 99.7% A*-B grades this year.
90.84% of students have gained places at QS top 100 universities worldwide and 36 students will be going onto study medicine it was revealed at time of writing.
As well as places at top UK universities including Oxford and Cambridge, students at the College have also set their sights on America with students being given places at universities including Columbia, University of California, Berkeley and New York University.
“We are absolutely thrilled that so many of our students are going onto top universities and have gained places to study some of the world’s most competitive courses” said Cardiff Sixth Form College Principal, Gareth Collier. “What these results really show is the consistency of the College’s teaching and assessment whether our student’s exams are internally or externally assessed. Much has been made of the fact that grades will be inflated by some schools this year however here at Cardiff we are extremely robust in monitoring student progress and provided significant data, over the two-year period, to really prove our students’ high calibre.
“We have very experienced and dedicated teaching staff, many of them examiners in their own right and the school is gaining a tremendous reputation, not just in the UK, but all around the world.”
