Academic Pulling Power Lands Cardiff Top of the Rankings

Posted: 25th November 2019

a private school in Cardiff recognised as one of the best secondary schools in Wales

This Sunday 24th November we were delighted to be namechecked in the Sunday Times as the top Independent Secondary School in Wales.

With the introduction of our one-year GCSE courses at the college last year we paved our way to top the Sunday Times Parent Power rankings. Until now the ranking of secondary schools has been on both A-level and GCSE results and some sixth-form colleges have found themselves excluded. Thankfully, this has not stopped us at Cardiff from being included in the publication or held us back in the rankings.

This is fantastic news and a real credit to everyone here at the college, not only have we been named ‘school of the year’ for the region but also topped the table for the UK-wide rankings with our 99.2% A-level A*-B grades and 83.9% GCSE A*-A grades this summer. We have also been ranked 13th in the UK overall.

We already knew we had the brightest and best at Cardiff but it is great to be recognised in this way.
