Cardiff Sixth Form College has recently celebrated their Alumni with the Alumni Association Launch Event at the Aberdeen Marina Club in Hong Kong.
The event took place on Friday 19th October with guests including a mixture of parents, some potential students and of course our valued Alumni.
Cardiff Sixth Form College’s Alumni Association launched in the UK earlier this year at the Graduation Ball, the purpose of the Hong Kong event was to launch our Alumni Association in Hong Kong, to celebrate our alumni and their achievements. As well as celebrating our Alumni we also had the pleasure of hearing from our guest speaker, Dr Tuet On Sang. Dr Tuet On Sang spoke about his achievements as a Doctor and what it takes to start and maintain a successful career in medicine, advice that would be invaluable to our Alumni who are currently studying medicine.
Cardiff Sixth Form College’s Principal, Gareth Collier, also gave a speech about our Alumni’s achievements so far, and the importance joining our new association. Mr Collier, was joined with support from Group Marketing & Admissions Director, Henrietta Lightwood, Regional Admissions Director for Asia, Tony Blignaut and Alumni Coordinator, Hannah Parkinson.
It was our great pleasure to welcome these students into our Alumni Association, Matthew Che and Arnold Chui who are studying Medicine at Hong Kong University, Jacqueline Chan who is also studying Medicine but at Chinese University of Hong Kong, Marco Kong and Jacqueline Poon who are each studying Law at Chinese University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong University, Bernice Choi who is studying Occupational Therapy at Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Cynthia Chao who is studying Biomedicine and Jonny Ho who is studying Economics, both at Hong Kong University.
The Alumni Association Launch was a huge success, we look forward to honouring our Alumni again soon and welcoming more CSFC Alumni ‘Dragons’
