birmingham university schools debate win

Congratulations to Tseng and Angeline for winning the finals at Birmingham University Schools’ Debate. They were debating against some of the top schools in the country including Westminster, Repton, St Paul’s Girls and Wellington. This was a very impressive performance for a final, debating the motion: “This House Would Replace Cabinet Ministers with Unelected Technocrats”. Angeline also took 8th best speaker overall.

Congratulations also to the three other teams from the College who took part in this highly competitive day, debating motions such as: “This House Believes that Social Media should only be used by those older than 21.”  Special mention should go to the GCSE students, Perlina and Francisca, who came 18th out of 42 teams in their first-ever debating competition.

Well done everyone for your first- class debating skills.
