Another successful year for Cardiff Sixth Form College for the annual Chemistry Olympiad Competition. Coordinated by the Royal Society of Chemistry, the competition brings together students from around the country, who all take part in a written test and a possible residential weekend at the University of Cambridge.
Cardiff Sixth Form College enters around 35-45 students a year into the competition and this year has proven to be a great success! Our students have all shown a serious passion for Chemistry, demonstrating commitment above and beyond the level expected at this stage. The competition is generally aimed at students in the A2 (Year 13) grouping and so special commendation must go to our AS (Year 12) students who took part in the competition this year – who have not only entered but achieved awards.
