Last Friday around 60 of our budding Medicine, Dentistry and Healthcare students attended the coveted ‘Science in Health Live’ at Cardiff University’s campus at the University Hospital, Wales. As part of this visit, students had the opportunity to attend lectures from Professors from the Medical School on immunology and the increasing impact of immunotherapy, have a tour of the research laboratories and facilities.

Moreover, they have been able to network with different clinical departments to discuss emerging research, alongside practising their clinical skills in taking blood tests, ECGs and blood pressure. Cardiff Sixth Form College has attended this day every year and has proven to be an excellent experience to write about in their personal statements and applications to university, to be explained in further detail in any potential interviews.
