A move to a new city or country is always daunting, whatever your age and wherever you're from. You never know what to expect. Some aspects of living in Wales may seem very different at first. Cardiff Sixth Form College is proud to have such a diverse culture, with students coming from all over the world. We support our students throughout their time here at the College, but also before they join us through our Pre-Arrival Process. Below, you can find all of the information we send out to students before they join us. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our Admissions Department: admissions@ccoex.com

Parent Event Information
Every year, we invite the parents of all of our new Year 12 students to attend the Parent Welcome Event. This year, the event will take place on Monday 2nd Spetember 2019 at the Mercure Hotel in Cardiff (opposite the College). Please see the invitation HERE for further details.

Cardiff Sixth Form College is now setting the highest standards in safeguarding the welfare of every student and requires parents, who do not live in the UK, to appoint a guardian to act on their behalf for all students regardless of their age.

Appointing a guardian is a parental responsibility.  The law protects the right of children and makes ‘proper and appropriate care’ a compulsory requirement.  The UKVI authority also require a letter from parents confirming the care arrangements they have put in place for their child as part of the visa application.

The following is a list of some of the guardians used by our students:

Regent Guardians

Crown Guardians

Guardians UK

White House Guardians

Bright World Guardians

School Uniform
The new student uniform policies will be released shortly. Students are expected to wear a clean and tidy uniform at all times during the college day. We encourage students to take an interest in their personal appearance and to take pride in themselves and the college.
