HEALTHCARE FACILITIES

Cardiff Sixth Form College is dedicated to looking after all its students. It is our policy to assess and monitor student health and wellbeing while at the college.

Cardiff Sixth Form College students have access to both an on-site nurse, and a counsellor.

The services provided by the nurse and the counsellor include:

• Monitoring of physical health and wellbeing (blood pressure, weight, etc)

• Acute illness management

• Chronic disease management (asthma, epilepsy, diabetes, etc)

• Travel vaccinations

• Counselling

All students are also registered to a local National Health Service (NHS) GP surgery. The surgery provides a free NHS service to students whilst studying at the college. Students reserve the right to consult both the college nurse/counsellor and NHS GPs at all times.
