CSFC launches A-Level Entrepreneur Programme

Posted: 22nd August 2016

Fancy yourself as the next Richard Branson, Steve Jobs or Bill Gates? CSFC has launched an exciting new A-Level Entrepreneur Programme which could be perfect for you.

The new course is designed to equip students with the qualifications and skills required to study Business at UK universities.

Under the Entrepreneur Programme, students will study a combination of Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Business Studies at A-Level, in addition to undertaking an extensive enrichment programme.

The enrichment programme will see students study towards a Level 3 Certificate from the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments (CISI), providing an introduction to the financial services industry. In addition, students will be taught a range of study skills and undertake IELTS preparation, alongside taking part in competitions such as Young Enterprise and BASE; a national business game in which students assume the role of ACA-qualified chartered accountants as they analyse, debate, conclude and present their case to a panel of judges in regional UK heats, culminating in a prestigious national final.

Speaking about the introduction of the new Entrepreneur Programme, College Co-Founder, Yasmin Sarwar stated:

“The success of CSFC has been driven by different philosophies. One of the key reasons for our success is that we’ve always delivered a 21st century curriculum and a major aspect of this, alongside academic excellence, involves teaching skills that will give students a fantastic platform from which to embark upon their future career, particularly in an age when workforce markets are more competitive than ever.

Entrepreneurship is one of these key skills; having entrepreneurial skills enables you to think outside of the box, to be brave enough to take risks and to have the courage to lead and make mistakes.

This is very important, regardless of what your academic aspirations are. You may be a potential doctor, engineer or lawyer, or perhaps you wish to enter into business or finance – regardless of your desired career, having these entrepreneurial skills is crucial and this is what CSFC hopes to add to its curriculum through the introduction of the Entrepreneur Programme.”

Meanwhile CSFC’s Head of Humanities, Julia Owens said, “We are delighted to be expanding our Business and Economics provision. In a changing world with new ways of working, this is a course that will meet the demands of the 21st century.”

Further details of CSFC’s new Business and Entrepreneurship Course, including entrance requirements and fees, can be found here. To apply, you will need to complete an application form and e-mail it to admissions@ccoex.com.
