Cardiff Students Win Awards in Chemistry Challenge

Posted: 28th September 2020

21 students took part in the Department of Chemistry’s 2020 Cambridge Chemistry Challenge at the end of the summer term with results just released.  The grade boundaries have been much higher than normal this year with the top mark from Cardiff Sixth Form College awarded to Lok Hang who received 52/60, just two marks below the boundary for a Gold* Award.  Other notable performers were Jiani, Rozel and Mason.  This was a stunning result and to actually take part in the competition under the circumstances at the time shows the calibre of Cardiff Sixth Form College students and their dedication.  Gold certificates have been awarded to five students, eight students achieved Silver and eight Bronze.
