At Cardiff Sixth Form College, we are very fortunate in having some of the most experienced and well-qualified teachers in their respective subjects. Teachers are the key to ensuring students' success. They are involved in both classroom and one-to-one teaching.

Prior to joining Cardiff Sixth Form College most of our teachers have had teaching experience of more than 15 years and held various positions such as Head of Department, Head of 6th Form and most importantly for us the experience of being an examiner.

This element is crucial as our experience has shown that not only is knowledge essential but correct technique in an examination is the key to success.

We believe in making studying easier as the majority of our students aim for highly competitive Degree Courses which demand excellent grades first and foremost before looking at non-academic qualities. The teaching faculty at Cardiff Sixth Form College devotes its time to helping each and every student. We believe that when some students are given time they can achieve higher than their perceived potential if the right support and motivation is provided. For the academically gifted students, we provide intellectual challenges and therefore a further enhancement of their own abilities.

Our group sessions foster discussions which enable students to scaffold each other's learning.

Our individual sessions ensure that tutors can provide a better understanding of the topic which then meets the individual's requirements.

Individual tutoring also benefits the student by providing not just a teacher but also a mentor, a positive influence to combat feelings of negativity and someone who you can talk and listen to.
