Victory Achievement Award 
(For Excellent Academic Results & Outstanding Non-Academic Achievements)

Tubasum Munawar came to CCoE from a state school, to undertake the two year A Level courses in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics. In this summer's AS examinations she achieved AAAA. Tubasum is continuing her A levels at CCoE before moving on to university to read Pharmacy. Her non-academic achievements have been, amongst others, the following:
1. Under taking a Nuffield Bursary
2. British Gold Crest Award participant
3. Duke of Edinburgh (Silver Level)
4. Best in Cardiff (125/125) in Senior Maths Challenge, followed by Maths Olympiad Round 1
5. St.John's Ambulance Cadet
6. Active volunteer for in many organisations


Best Students Award for A2, AS and GCSE
(Based on Examination Results)

Carlie Cummings joined CCoE from Stanwell Comprehensive and she wins the prize for the Best Student Award (A2). At the end of her lower-sixth year she gained grades of AAAAB in AS levels in Biology, Chemistry, Psychology, French and History. She has now completed A2 study in Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology with AAB and has a place at Newcastle University for Dentistry.

Victoria Marchant joined CCoE from Tonyrefail Comprehensive and wins the prize for the Best Student Award (AS) . At the end of her AS year she achieved grades of AAAAA in AS level Biology, Chemistry, English, Law and Maths. She has now gone to study A2 in Biology, Chemistry & Maths and is applying to read Veterinary Medicine at university.

Aminur Rahman joined CCoE from Cardiff High and he wins the prize for the Best Student Award (GCSE). Aminur was under achieving in Year 9 and was placed in low sets across the board at his previous school. He has experienced a remarkable transformation in his results, obtaining 2 A*'s in Maths & Physics, and 4 A's in Biology, Chemistry, Media Studies and Religious Studies,taking these GCSE's one year early. He is now finishing off his remaining GCSE's at CCoE and taking one AS level one year early. 


Honours Award
(For Dedication & Commitment to his/her Ambitions)

Jessica Howell wins the prize for Dedication, Commitment & Outstanding overall achievement. Jessica joined CCoE from Rougemont School in Newport, to follow a two-year A level course in Biology, Chemistry, Geography & Psychology. Achieving grades of AAB and A in Geography AS, Jessica is currently reading Pharmacy at Reading University.


Leadership Awards
(For showing great teamwork spirit & true leadership)

Aneeqa Nasir joined CCoE from Cardiff High. At the end of her AS year she achieved grades of AAA in AS level Biology, Chemistry and Maths. Aneeqa was nominated for a Leadership Award for organising fund raising events and taking the responsibility of leading the whole team.

Sara Bethan Crawley came to CCoE from Howells College. Sara was nominated for a Leadership Award for organising and planning CCoE Talent Night 2007. In a short span of time, Sara led a team to organise a very successful evening.


Star Burst Awards
(For showing remarkable achievement and improvement in work in a short span of time)

Shriti Patel was a student at King's Monkton School in Cardiff. Shriti joined CCoE in the third term of Year 9, as she felt that she was not being stretched enough and liked the idea of following a one year course in 6 GCSE's. Shriti obtained 5 A's in total and 1 B in Biology, Chemistry, Maths, Media Studies, Physics and Religious Studies.. Shriti is now attempting AS level Physics one year early and wants to read Engineering at Imperial College London.

Qassim Malik joined CCoE from Cardiff High starting 6 weeks into the third term of Year 9. Qassim wants to read Medicine at Cardiff University and felt it necessary to change from his previous school. Qassim achieved 2 A*'s in Maths & Physics, 2 A's in Biology & Chemistry (very narrowly missing A* in both) and 2B's in Media Studies and Religious Studies. Qassim has started his AS level Law one year early and looks set to achieve an A grade.
